As a director and an MBA you are just a short step from an IoD qualification

The IoD is offering a unique development package for you, as an MBA, to achieve the Diploma in Company Direction and progress to Chartered Director status.

You now have an opportunity to continue your professional development post-mba and become fully up to date with your role and responsibilities as a director.

The Diploma in Company Direction will equip you with new skills and competencies to keep you up to date with your changing responsibilities and liabilities. It provides the all around skills, knowledge and understanding essential for successfully directing a modern organisation from a strategic perspective.

As an MBA, you may already possess the knowledge covered by some areas of the IoD qualification. If so, we are offering a development package which has been designed to help you to fill in any knowledge gaps and achieve the professional qualification for directors.

Your Choice

The modules for the Diploma in Company Direction are highly participative and involve a mix of case studies, group work and tutor input. They are delivered by business leaders who are both subject experts and excellent facilitators of the learning process.

The MBA development package is only suitable for those who are confident in most areas of the programme syllabus and are already at board level. • Finance for non-financial directors (3 days)*
• Director's role in strategy and marketing (3 days)*
• Director's role in leading the organisation (2 days)

• Access to e-learning support tools for all modules
• Attendance on the diploma exercise developing board performance (3 days)
• Examination fees
• Chartered director registration fee

Chartered Director

The diploma is the first hurdle in achieving chartered director status.

The MBA development package fee: IoD member rate: £5,625 + vat

MB: This package is not suitable for directors without an MBA. equally, as a director at board level considering your professional development options, the IoD recommends that a management qualification such as the MBA is not a viable alternative to director training. The IOD Company Direction Programme focuses on strategic and governance responsibilities rather than wholly operational issues.
